My goal is to help you find relief from pain and dysfunction, and to provide you with the tools for ongoing maintenance. If you’re looking to remove stress from the body and resolve ongoing pain – you’re in the right place.
Your first appointment will look like this:
Growing up in Ontario, I was drawn to the endless adventure that Vancouver Island provides, and have had the pleasure of calling the Pacific Northwest home for 10 years. As such, it has had a great influence on the services I provide.
I love the forests here. There is an inherent intelligence to how it both grows and heals. Heavy rainfalls allow for the wildest greenery, nourishing trees that have stood for hundreds of years. When the roots of an old tree are no longer receiving nourishment the leaves may suffer, but we must recognize that the problem needs to be solved where it began. If you experience pain or dysfunction in the body, it is my objective to discover the origin.
Injuries can occur when you live an active lifestyle. As I navigate my own path to recovery from sports and repetitive strain injuries, my interest in rehabilitation and manual therapy continues to deepen. I believe that we all deserve to enjoy life within the body. It is my intention and passion to help you move towards optimal wellbeing.
After graduating from Dalhousie University, I trained at the West Coast College of Massage Therapy where evidence based manual therapy is the primary focus. Some techniques used in treatment include Swedish massage, myofascial release, trigger point release, Graston Technique, and joint mobilizations. My special interests include injuries of an unknown origin, sports injury rehabilitation, pain associated with mood, headaches, pre and postnatal care.
When I’m not in the clinic, you’ll find me in the mountains where I find my deepest joy and inspiration. I never miss an opportunity to ski, hike, bike and explore.
